Monday Adoration:
Each Monday at 7:15 p.m.
“Lord
teach us to pray; Lord teach us in prayer.” For over five years people
have been attending our Monday Adoration service from around the
Archdiocese. Our vision is to pray silently with people, to outline a
different topic each week with a special reflection followed by a shared
prayer. Then after benediction we exchange our ideas on the topic and
have a short period of discussion.
Desert Day of Prayer:
A monthly day of prayer for
men and women, married and single, young and old, who seek time for
solitude and reflection. The Bible is used as a guide. The essence of
this day is to spend a quiet time with the Lord. It is offered to those
who wish to take time out of their busy schedule once a month for a
quiet reflection with the Lord Jesus. This day ends with the celebration
of the Holy Mass.
- It is offered on the third
Saturday of every month
from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
One-Day Retreat for Singles:
This day of prayer and
reflection offers singles an opportunity to deepen their relationship
with God and thus empower them to boldly witness to their faith in
society. The day will feature various themes on prayer, relationships,
Christian witness, vocation of single persons, social life, pressures of
being single, etc. Presentation, Discussion, Shared Prayer,
Reconciliation, and the Holy Eucharist are part of this day.
-
It is offered six times a year
on the second Saturday of February, April, June, August, October and
December from 9.00
a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Nineteenth Annotation: An exercise of
35 weeks of Guided Scripture Prayer:
This is the Spiritual
Exercises of St Ignatius, not in a 30 days retreat but as a directed
programme spread out over a period of 35 weeks. Already a number of
priests, sisters and laity have taken this programme. There will be
three centres of direction in the Archdiocese, and direction will be
given once in three weeks.
- Offered every year and begins
in February
